When your heartburn/acid reflux starts, reach for around 10-15 raisins and place them in your mouth. You don't need to chew or swallow them, just keep them in your mouth. After they have been there for a short time, you will notice that your saliva begins to build up. Now here's the difficult part.







You need to swallow the saliva but keep the raisins in your mouth, as the extra saliva produced from the raisins will help coat your esophagus and neutralize your stomach acids.







After about 5 minutes, your heartburn should have stopped, so just spit out the raisins and you can continue with what you were doing. Nice and simple, but a pain if you like raisins as you can't eat them immediately, and just have to wait until you're finished with this batch to get another!
