Heartburn/Acid Reflux Home Remedies with Ginger Tea
Ginger is another centuries old remedy used within Asian culture as it has numerous healing properties. Since its introduction into western society, many heartburn sufferers swear by the fact that drinking just one cup of ginger tea will give them immediate relief from their heartburn/acid reflux.
Again, ginger tea is very simple to make yourself. Just put 1 1/4 to 2 teaspoons of freshly shredded ginger in a cup and add boiling water. Let the ginger steep for around 10 minutes. Next, strain the mixture to remove the ginger and then drink when at the right temperature for you.
Alternatively, peel around 1" of ginger root and slice it finely. Place into a cup with a normal tea bag and pour on boiling water. Let the mixture seep for about 2 minutes then remove the tea bag and strain the ginger out. If you like you can add sugar or honey before drinking.
Although you can buy ginger tea at most health stores, due to the quality of ginger used in most cases you may find that store-bought ginger tea doesn't works as well as a homemade recipe.
